Early Childhood Development Manager
Job Summary

Reporting to the Early Childhood Development Director, the primary functions of the Early Childhood Development Manager include: teaching; managing the teaching staff; overseeing lesson planning and teaching; establishing good relationships with member families; personal development within the Early Childhood Development department; carrying out all Manager-On-Duty responsibilities including opening and closing the facility; and direct involvement in sales. You will be working with the Early Childhood Development Director to manage and guide the teaching staff in addition to various administrative tasks.
Job Duties:
Manage Teaching Staff
• Interview, audition, and hire quality talent for the teaching team.
• Create training schedules and payroll forms for new hires.
• Audit and review teacher progress.
• Schedule teachers for class and camp programs within a semester.
• Hold regular staff meetings to review progress and keep teachers informed of policy changes.
• Provide support for teaching staff.
Establish Member Relations
• Build relationships with member families.
• Hold parent orientations for KVU.
• Answer all member inquiries relating to program feedback, lesson plan implementation, and teacher training and qualifications.
Oversee Lesson Planning
• Communicate with teachers regarding lesson plan and program feedback, problems, concerns and improvements.
• Communicate any recommended improvements or modifications of lesson plans or program policy to the Franchisee, Mayor, and Kidville Franchise Company, LLC.
• Distribute lessons in a timely manner for teachers to prepare.
• Ensure teachers have adequate supplies to implement lessons.
• Meet with teachers to review lessons prior to implementation.
• Order supplies and maintain accurate and up to date inventory on supplies needed for classroom and lesson plans.
Personal Development
• Attend weekly meetings with Mayor.
• Continually self-evaluate and communicate development needs to the Mayor.
• Enroll as a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
Perform Manager-On-Duty Responsibilities
• Perform facility opening & closing procedures as needed.
Sales
• Work with members both in-person and on the phone to register them for classes & memberships.
• Work with members both in-person and on the phone to perform swaps and schedule make-up classes.
• Offer facility tours to members, guests, and visitors.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience teaching and working with young children.
• Strong Organizational Skills
• Strong in Time & Project Management skills
• Must be able to communicate with parents the company values and philosophies.
• Enthusiasm, dedication and work ethic.
• Must be a team player.
• Must become certified in CPR and First Aid.
• Must have experience with the Internet and be proficient in all Microsoft Office programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
• Must be able to manage many tasks quickly and efficiently and be able to work in a high-pressure environment.
• Must have outstanding written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be fluent in English.
• Must provide documentation of legal U.S. residency.
